Who can resist a gorgeous palette not only with an animal theme but also for a good cause? Now you can feel less guilty about buying makeup. Chantecaille has been creating these special palettes for a while now. Each theme is unique and benefits a different living thing (whether it's animal or plant). I can't get over the design of each pan. Absolutely stunning. Every shade looks so rich and with hints of shimmer.
From L to R (top):
This is the Le Magnolia Eye & Cheek palette. The hope is that awareness will be brought to TRAFFIC's work to "improve the outlook for wild plant species and the livelidhoods of people around the world through supporting the widespread adoption of the FairWild Standard. Each limited edition eye and cheek shade is embossed with a magnolia - a popular, wild-collected plant used in Traditional Chinese Medicine and in many of Chantecaille's formulas." Some of the proceeds from this palette will be "donated to TRAFFIC to support their wild plant conservation work." I'm seeing great smoky eyeshadows and light cheek shades.
The Save the Bees palette is especially mesmerizing. Not only for the detailed bee outline on each shade but the harmonious color combinations. "Passionate about raising awareness for the plight of bees and the fragility of our ecosystems, we have created the Save the Bees Palette, a refreshing eye and cheek palette that artfully fuses the natural beauty of the Bees' habitat with the Spring 14 runway trends in a unique yet wearable way." Some of the proceeds "will be donated to the Xerces Society to help protect bees and our environment. " The shades: Sky (pale blue), Honey (golden highlighter), Beehive (grey beige), and Nectar (coral pink). I'm definitely still thinking about buying this one. Such warm shades and wearable colors.
The L'Elephant Eye palette is "inspired by the fall runway trends and tireless efforts of The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust." These colors are definitely made for fall, and I think they are perfect shades to pair with the elephant theme.

The Wolves' Eye Eyeshadow Palette is inspired by, obviously, the wolf. Though no proceeds will go toward a cause, I still think this is a great pick. The wolf is such a mysterious animal, and inspiration can create such beautiful winter shades. Shades: Midnight (deep black), Timber Wolf (pewter), and Evergreen (blackened green).
The Save the Sharks Palette is the one that I currently own. I love anything to do with the ocean, and saving the sharks is definitely a cause I feel very passionate about. Some of the proceeds from this palette sill be donated to the Bloom Association "to ban unregulated shark fin trade." Shades: Great White (sandy beige), Grey Reef (sandy grey), Black Tip (blue), and Sea Anemone Cheek Shade (coral). Even though the coral is a cheek blush shade, I use it as an eyeshadow and it works perfectly! I fell in love with the warm ocean-inspired shades immediately. And I love the embossed fin on each shade.
The last eyeshadow palette is "inspired by the magnificent beauty and free spirit of Wild Horses." Shades: Black Stallion (black), Palomino (beige), Mustang (chestnut brown), and Freedom (sunset pink). Again gorgeous shades that fit the theme of wild horses. Some proceeds will be donated to the Humane Society of the United States.
All 6 palettes are available on Saks Fifth Avenue's website for purchase. You can also buy from Chantecaille's official beauty website. Other various online stores carry one or some of the palettes, like Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, and Barneys. All quotes are from the brand describing their products on Saks Fifth Avenue's website.
